The idea behind the basic concept embodied by the Optimas Paver laying machine is to employ different attachments to meet the needs of the respective work stages found on your building site. All that is required is to attach the hydraulic curbstone grab to the arm of the basic machine. This can be done in minutes and does not require additional tools.

Curbstones are laid at an average rate of approximately 70 100 continuous metres per hour. The Optimas Paver laying machine removes the individual curbstones directly from the delivered packs. In direct comparison with other systems and laying by hand, the high degree of mobility displayed by the basic machine means that it can not only save a lot of costly time, but that it, at the same time, also ensures that your workers work in a highly ergonomic environment.

Optimas has devised the hydraulic Optimas - curbstone grab so that it can be fitted not only as an attachment to the Paver laying machine but can also be fitted to an excavator. The curbstone grab is suitable for laying both concrete and granite curbstones. A lateral extension can be fitted to cope with curbstones measuring more than the standard size of between 0.45 mm and 1.40 m. It is also possible to lay curbstone arcs.

The Optimas hydraulic curbstone grab can be fitted to construction machinery already on site such as mini-excavators, wheeled loaders etc. without the need for extra tools. The curbstones are then usually removed directly from the supplied pack and laid. There is no need to lay out the individual paving stones along the site beforehand, and this saves considerably on pre-planning and time-on-job. This method of working not only cuts high wage costs but also reduces the heavy manual labour involved to a fraction of what was previously required.

The hydraulic Optimas curbstone grab used as an attachment for construction machinery is equipped with a corresponding trailer hitch and a pressure limiter valve. Any special equipment, such as, for example, the optional turning gear (360) and other technical details are clarified before delivery.

The Optimas vacuum curbstone grab is an all-purpose attachment that can be used both on the paver as well as on carrier vehicles.

Basically, the vacuum curbstone grab can be employed to lay a great multitude of different straight curbstones accurately, economically and ergonomically.

One of the great advantages of using vacuum technology to lay curbstones is that the curbstones can already be laid directly flush on the ground and can even be lifted at a later date by machine.

The Optimas vacuum unit used as an attachment on any carrier equipment enables weightless, exact and economic laying of suction tight curbstones and other concrete items.

Specially devised for heavy duty building site use, various purpose-dependent suction cups are available which can be easily attached or removed in minutes due to a quick release mechanism.

Precise positioning and renewed lifting of concrete elements already laid are possible without problem.
